 The
4th Annual South Florida Improv Jam (SFIJ 4),
was held on Saturday, August 13,
and took place in Palm Beach at
The Kravis Center for the Performing
Arts - Cohen Pavilion in
Persson Hall, and was hosted by
Mod 27.
Raising money for charity,
proceeds from SFIJ 4 benefited
Gilda's Club of South Florida.
Organized by Dave Hyland and
Tom O'Donnell, SFIJ 4 continued the tradition of bringing
together South Florida's Improv Community through collective
performance and workshop instruction.
The
4th South Florida Improv Jam
continued to use a pure jam format, in a 2 hour+ show
comprised of four 25-minute, mixed-cast "mini-troupes," performing improv and
sketch comedy showcases, and directed by one member of each
of the troupes involved.

and directors from South Florida improv and sketch comedy
troupes
Impromedy,
Just The Funny,
Laughing Gas, Mod 27, and
They Improv.
SFIJ 4 also featured
FREE improv and sketch comedy workshops offered to the
general public earlier in the day, a first for the South
Florida Improv Jam!

4 was a blast, filling up the beautiful Kravis
Center for the Performing Arts, while keeping audience members
howling with a fantastic blend of short form improv, long
form improv, and sketch comedy, with a quick group jam to
end the show. |
